Do things go wrong with BPO ……………

It is true that the BPO sector in India is witnessing an unprecedented boom, but the other side of the industry can not be ignored. For some time, the BPO industry in India has been battling some complex problems such as staff turnover, poor infrastructure and the lack of data protection laws.

The high attrition rate in the industry is mainly due to the limited career options and growth opportunities for youth. Fear of stagnation is an important factor that forces workers to leave the industry.

While some leave his career midway in pursuit of higher education, others are lured by higher pay packages offered elsewhere. New entrants in the BPO sector, who are constantly on the look out for young people trained, offer higher pay. With employees moving to other jobs in less than a year, the industry has to face the gnawing problem of attrition.

Another key problem is the stressful working hours, particularly night shifts, which can create both physical and mental disorders in the long term. Other reasons for the problem of wear are disoriented by the company, unfavorable policies and procedures, mental stress caused by solitary lifestyle and relationship difficulties with peers or managers.

According to analysts, labor turnover rates in the outsourcing industry vary between 20 and 40 percent in certain companies, while the largest companies is around an average of 15 percent. If the present attrition rate continues, the outsourcing industry is possible to face a lack of 262,000 professionals by 2012.

Indian BPO industry

This is especially true if you look at both past and present scenarios. It said that the Indian BPO industry has come of age. Defying all the permutations and combination, India's outsourcing industry has seen enormous growth in recent years. It has resisted the pressure and negative campaigns of the media and others to emerge as the preferred destination for young job seekers.
